Let \(x_n\), \(n=1,2,\ldots\) be a strictly increasing sequence of positive integers. \textit{O. Strauch} and \textit{J. T. Tóth} [Publ.\ Math. 58, No. 4, 751--778 (2001; Zbl 0980.11031)] introduced a sequence \(X_n\) of blocks \(X_n=\left(\frac{x_1}{x_n}, \frac{x_2}{x_n}, \ldots, \frac{x_n}{x_n}\right)\) and studied the set of \(G(X_n)\) of its distribution functions. In the previous part (Part III by \textit{V. Baláž, L. Mišík, O. Strauch} and \textit{J. T. Tóth} [Publ.\ Math. 82, No. 3--4, 511--529 (2013; Zbl 1274.11118)]) of this series of papers, the authors found optimal boundaries \(h_1(x)\leq g(x)\leq h_2(x)\) for \(g(x)\in G(X_n)\) for \(x_n\) with positive lower asymptotic density \(\underline{d}>0\). In this paper, the authors find such a lower bound \(\tilde{g}(x)\) for \(x_n\) with \(\underline{d}=0\) by applying a special algorithm. Moreover, they prove that for a nonempty set \(H\) of distribution functions on \([0,1]\) there exists an integer sequence \(1\leq x_1<x_2<\cdots \) such that \(H\subset G(X_n)\). In Part III it is shown that there exists an integer sequence \(1\leq x_1<x_2<\cdots \) with \(\underline{d}>0\) such that \(h_2(x)\in G(X_n)\). Then, in this paper, the authors also prove some additional properties of \(G(X_n)\).
