In the construction of generalized inverse operators for normally solvable operators, the classical Schmidt procedure can be applied only to Fredholm operators; see [\textit{M. M. Vaĭ{n}berg} and \textit{V. A. Trenogin}, Theory of branching of solutions of nonlinear equations (Russian) (1969; Zbl 0186.20805)]. The authors of the present paper obtain a procedure for the construction of a generalized inverse operator of a linear bounded normally solvable operator whose kernel and image are complemented in the corresponding spaces, similar to the well-known Schmidt procedure. This gives a solvability criterion for linear normally solvable operator equations and a formula for finding the general solutions.
