In the present paper, the shrinking projection method is used to solve an equilibrium problem involving inverse-strongly monotone mappings simultaneously with a fixed point problem of an asymptotically strict pseudocontraction in real Hilbert spaces. The authors show that the iterative sequence generated by hybrid iterative algorithms converges strongly to a common fixed point, which belongs to both the solution set of the equilibrium problem and the fixed point set of an asymptotically strict pseudocontraction.
