Let \(T_n(R)\) denote the ring of all upper triangular matrices over a ring \(R\). The main result of the paper states that a Jordan homomorphism \(\varphi\) from \(T_n(R)\) onto \(T_{n'}(R)\), where \(n,n'\geq 2\), is either a homomorphism or an antihomomorphism provided that \(R\) is a unital ring without nontrivial idempotents and \(\varphi(R\cdot 1)\neq T_{n'}(R)\).
