The problem is transformed to a one-dimensional weakly singular integral equation which is solved with even trigonometric polynomials. It was shown, that this method is unsaturated, i.e., the principal error term is determined by the smoothness of the solution, resulting in exponential convergence for smooth solutions. In the present paper, the author applies the method for solving the spectral problem for the corresponding operator. The deviation of the first eigenvalue of the discretized problem from the eigenvalue of the Neumann operator is estimated with efficiently computable parameters. This allows to choose the parameters of the proposed iteration method for solving the linear system with a non-symmetric dense matrix such that the accuracy is preserved.
