Let \(M\) be a two-dimensional manifold and \(M\rightarrow (\tilde{M}^3, \tilde{g})\) an immersion into a Lorentzian three-dimensional manifold and \(H\) the mean curvature. A space-like \(M\) is called a maximal surface if \(H=0\) and a time-like \(M\) is said to be minimal or extremal if \(H=0\). This work is devoted to the case when \(\tilde{M}\) is the Lorentzian Heisenberg group. Also, the one-parameter subgroups are studied.
