The moduli space of pairs \((C,\varphi)\) with \(C\) a complex connected smooth projective curve of genus \(g\geq2\) and \(\varphi\) a nonzero abelian differential on \(C,\) and denoted here by \(\text{H}_{g},\) comes with the structure of a Deligne-Mumford stack, it is an orbifold. The forgetful morphism \(\text{H}_{g} \rightarrow \text{M}_{g},\) exhibits \(\text{H}_{g}\) as the complement of the zero section of the Hodge bundle over the moduli space \(\text{M}_{g}\) of curves. A partition of \(\text{H}_{g}\) into suborbifolds is defined by looking at the multiplicities of the zeros of the abelian differential : for any numerical partition \({\mathbf k}=(k_{1} \geq k_{1} \geq\dots \geq k_{n} > 0)\) of \(2g-2,\) we have a subvariety \(\text{H}^{'} ({\mathbf k}) \subset \text{H}_{g}\) which parameterizes the pairs \((C,\varphi)\) for which the zero divisors \(Z_{\varphi}\) of \(\varphi\) is of type \({\mathbf k}.\) A stratum of \(\text{H}_{g}\) is a connected component of some \(\text{H}^{'} ({\mathbf k}).\) In this paper authors gave rather precise description of all the strata in genus 3 in terms of root system data. For each non-open stratum they obtained a presentation of its orbifold fundamental group.
