In this paper, \(\varphi\)-uniform domains are studied. Before giving below the definition of a \(\varphi\)-uniform domain, let me give more details about some of the obtained results. Given a \(\varphi\)-uniform domain \(G\), sufficient conditions on a subset \(E\subset G\) are given such that \(G\setminus E\) is \(\varphi'\)-uniform for some \(\varphi'\). It is also shown that given a bilipschitz mapping there is a homeomorphism \(\varphi'\) such that the image of any \(\varphi\)-uniform domain under the mapping is \(\varphi'\)-uniform (\(\varphi'\) depends only on \(\varphi\) and the bilipschitz constant). The authors also provide some examples of \(\varphi\)-uniform domains such that the complements are not \(\varphi'\)-uniform for any \(\varphi'\). Let me turn to some of the needed definitions. For a subdomain \(G\subsetneq \mathbb{R}^n\), the quasihyperbolic metric of \(G\) is defined by \[ k_G(x,y)=\inf_{\gamma\in \Gamma(x,y)} \int_\gamma \frac{|dz|}{\text{dist}(z,\partial G)}, \] where \(\Gamma(x,y)\) represents the family of all rectifiable paths joining \(x\) and \(y\) in \(G\). Given a homeomorphism \(\varphi: [0,\infty)\to [0,\infty)\), a domain \(G\subsetneq \mathbb{R}^n\) is said to be \(\varphi\)-uniform if \[ k_G(x,y)\leq \varphi(|x-y|/\text{min}\{\text{dist}(x,\partial G),\text{dist}(y,\partial G)\}) \] for all \(x\), \(y\in G\).
