The authors prove a common fixed point theorem for a multifunction and a singlevalued function in a fuzzy metric space with a \(t\)-norm of \(H\)-type satisfying a suitable metric condition, provided that both are weakly compatible, that is, they commute on their coincidence points. Thus, a result of \textit{X.-Q. Hu} [Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2011, Article ID 363716, 14 p. (2011; Zbl 1213.54012)] is generalized as well.
