The paper proposes yet another generalization of the classical Koszul theory. The setup of the paper is a non-negatively graded locally finite dimensional algebra in which the zero component is an algebra such that the finitistic dimension of both this algebra and its opposite is zero. Generalized Koszul algebras and modules are then defined using linear projective resolutions, as usual. The paper proposes generalizations, to this setup, of some results from the classical Koszul theory. This includes various criteria for generalized Koszulness, description of generalized Koszul modules and also the module-categorical version of Koszul duality.
