The author considers a linear system \(A(p)x=b(q),\) where the elements of the matrix and the right-hand side vector are linear functions of uncertain parameters \(p,q\) belonging to given intervals \(\mathbf{p,q,}\) respectively \( \mathbf{.}\) The solution of such a kind of problems involving interval data can be defined in many ways. Here the parametric tolerable solution set is considered, which is defined by \(\Sigma _{tol}(A(p),b(q),\mathbf{ p,q):=}\left\{ x\in \mathbb{R}^{n}\text{ }|\text{ }(\forall p\in \mathbf{p} )(\exists q\in \mathbf{q})(A(p)x=b(q))\right\}\). By studying the unboundedness of this set, the author aims at completing her initial investigations already published on this subject. Some results in the literature are generalized and necessary and sufficient conditions are provided to establish that a nonempty parametric tolerable solution set is unbounded. Some numerical examples are reported and discussed to show how more accurate interval estimations can be obtained.
