Summary: We review some recent developments on the regularity theory of two classical free boundary problems: the obstacle problem and Stefan's problem. We emphasize the similarities and differences between these recent results (for the obstacle problem and Stefan's problem) and the regularity theory of integer rectifiable area-minimizing currents (and related problems) developed during the XXth century. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1519.00033].
