This paper deals with the so-called generalized Robin-Regge problem \(L(q,h,a,\beta)\) \begin{align*} &-y''(x)+q(x)y(x)=\lambda^2 y(x),\,\,0<x<a,\\ &y'(0)-hy(0)=0,\\ &y'(a)+(\mathrm{i}\lambda a +\beta)y(a)=0, \end{align*} where \(\lambda\) is a spectral parameter, \(q\in L^2(0,a)\) a complex-valued potential, \(h, \beta\in \mathbb{C}\), and \(a>0\). This problem arises in various models of mathematical physics, such as small transversal vibrations of a smooth inhomogeneous string subject to viscous damping, resonance scattering problems, and problems of determining the sharp of human vocal tract. In particular, the authors address the inverse spectral problem that consists in recovering the potential \(q(x)\) and the coefficients of the boundary conditions from the eigenvalues of \(L(q,h,a,\beta)\). The inverse Robin-Regge problem is reduced to the recovery of the Sturm-Liouville potential by the Cauchy data using the special exponential Riesz basis. Local solvability and stability of the inverse problem are proved in the general case, taking into account eigenvalues multiplicities.
