The study of homotopy spheres is an important topic in topology. In particular, the study of finite group \(G\)-actions on homotopy spheres has received attention from topologists. It reflects the relationship between the structure of the finite group, fixed points, and the dimension of the homotopy sphere. There are many famous results about finite group \(G\)-actions on homotopy spheres such as if a homotopy sphere \(X\) has a one-fixed-point smooth \(G\)-action then the dimension of \(X\) is greater than or equal to 6; there is an effective 2-pseudofree one-fixed-point smooth \(G\)-action on the sphere \(S^n\) of dimension \(n\) if and only if \(n\) is equal to 6 and \(G\) is isomorphic to the alternating group \(A_5\) on five letters. In this article, the author determines the finite groups \(G\) possessing 3-pseudofree one-fixed-point smooth \(G\)-actions on \(S^n.\) Furthermore, for an arbitrary finite group \(G\) isomorphic to \(A_ 5, A_5 \times \mathbb Z/2,\) or \(SL(2,5) \times \mathbb Z/m\) such that \(m\) is prime to 30, it is proved that there is a 3-pseudofree one-fixed-point smooth \(G\)-action on \(S^7\).
