The paper deals with the closedness of one-sided ideals of a non-commutative Schwartz space \(\mathcal S\), which is a particular example of a locally multiplicatively convex Fréchet *-algebra, equipped with suitable topology and multiplication. As a first main theorem, it is shown that when \(A\) is a Fréchet algebra in which all null sequences factor, then all maximal one-sided ideals of \(A\) are closed. Then it is shown that the non-commutative Schwartz space \(\mathcal S\) is an example of such an algebra \(A\), hence all maximal one-sided ideals of \(\mathcal S\) are closed. In the last part of the paper, the author obtains a description of all closed left ideals of \(\mathcal S\), using some closed subspaces of the space of rapidly decreasing sequences \(s\) or its topological dual \(s'\). Reviewer's remark: Similar results have been studied in a more general case by Mati Abel in his papers [\textit{M.~Abel}, in: Proceedings of the international conference on topological algebras and their applications, ICTAA 2013, Tartu, Estonia, May 30 -- June 2, 2013 to celebrate the 70th birthday of Mati Abel.
