Let \((X,g_o)\) and \((M,g)\) be a pair of compact \(n\)-dimensional Riemannian manifolds. The main goal of the paper is to show that under additional assumptions on the sectional curvature of \(X\), the existence of a continuous Gromov-Hausdorff \(\varepsilon\)-approximation from \(X\) to \(M\) implies that the volume of \(M\) can be estimated from below by the volume of \(X\). This result extends Theorem 1.1 of [the author, ibid. 274, No. 1--2, 1--20 (2013; Zbl 1270.53071)] where the main tool for the proof were barycenters. In the general case considered in this paper the notion of barycenters of measure was extended to any manifold using the construction proposed by \textit{G. Besson} et al. [Geom. Funct. Anal. 5, No. 5, 731--799 (1995; Zbl 0851.53032)]. At the end of the paper the author presents an example showing that the volume of \(M\) cannot be estimated from above.
