In the present paper, the authors develop a theory of max-product neural network operators in a Kantorovich-type version, which is suitable in order to study the case of \(L_p\)-approximation for not necessarily continuous data. Also the case of point-wise and uniform approximation of continuous functions is considered along with some examples.
