The Voronoi mean of a real sequence \(\left\{ s_{n}\right\} \) is defined by the transformation \[ t_{n}=\frac{1}{u_{n}}\sum_{k=0}^{n}p_{n-k}q_{k}s_{k}, \] where \(\left\{ p_{n}\right\}\), \(\left\{ q_{n}\right\} \) and \(\left\{ u_{n}\right\} \) are real sequences with \(u_{n}\neq 0\). The authors prove a number of theorems of abelian and Tauberian type for this transformation and establish some relations between the Voronoi means and power series. Each regular Voronoi mean is equivalent to a generalized Nörlund mean, so the non-regular case is more interesting. The authors refer to some problems in probability theory, analysis and number theory which are related to non-regular matrix transformations.
