The Fröberg conjecture is the following: Let \(S=K[x_1,\ldots,x_n]\) be the polynomial ring in \(n\) variables, where \(K\) is an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. Let \(f_1,\ldots,f_z\) be generic forms of degrees \(a_1,\ldots,a_z\) respectively. Let \(I=(f_1,\ldots,f_z).\) Then the Hilbert series of \(S/I\) is ``the expected one'' (given by dimension count). In this note the author studies ideals generated by several generic forms of the same degree \(d.\) He shows that the Fröberg conjecture, in this case, is true for ``many previously unknown cases''.
