Let \(K\) be a function field over a finite field. In the authors' previous paper [Part I, Finite Fields Appl. 16, 477--485, (2010; Zbl 1222.11138)] they established Li's criterion for \(K\), which states that the positivity of Li's coefficients \(\lambda_K(n)\) is equivalent to the Riemann hypothesis for the zeta function \(\zeta_K(s)\) attached to \(K\). In the present paper, the authors show that the Riemann hypothesis for \(\zeta_K(s)\) holds if and only if \(\lambda_K(n)\) are increasing in \(n\). Since the Riemann hypothesis for \(\zeta_K(s)\) is known to be true, the condition about \(\lambda_K(n)\) is also true.
