In this paper, the author considers polynomial representations of \(G_rT\) for an arbitrary closed reductive subgroup scheme \(G\subseteq\mathrm{GL}_n\) and a maximal torus \(T\) of \(G\) of positive characteristic, using the general framework of polynomial representations defined by \textit{S. Doty} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 123, No. 1--3, 165--199 (1998; Zbl 0912.20036)] and generalizing the definition given by \textit{S. R. Doty} et al. [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 72, No. 3, 588--612 (1996; Zbl 0856.20025)] for \(G = \mathrm{GL}_n\). The author gives sufficient conditions on \(G\) making a classification of simple polynomial \(G_rT\)-modules similar to the case \(G =\mathrm{GL}_n\) possible and applies this to recover the corresponding result for \(\mathrm{GL}_n\), and to extend it to symplectic similitude groups, Levi subgroups of \(\mathrm{GL}_n\) and, in a weaker form, to odd orthogonal similitude groups.
