In this paper the authors introduce a natural partial order on the set of rational cones in \(\mathbb R^d\). As it is known the poset of normal polytopes embeds into the set of cones via the homogenization map. The authors show that the order in the set of cones is 3 for the case of \(d =3\). A stronger version of connectivity is shown for all \(d\). Topological aspects of the conjecture are also discussed.
