This paper is devoted to study geodesics for plurisubharmonic functions from the Cegrell class \(\mathcal F_1\) on a bounded hyperconvex domain \(\Omega\subset \mathbb C^n\). Let \[ \mathbb E(u)=\int_{\Omega}u(dd^cu)^n \] be the energy functional defined for \(u\in \mathcal F_1\). The main result states that for any pair of functions \(u_0, u_1\in \mathcal F_1\) there exists a geodesic \(u_t\subset \mathcal F_1\), \(t\in (0,1)\), such that \(u_t\to u_j\) in capacity, as \(t\to j\in \{0,1\}\). Moreover the function \(t\to \mathbb E(u_t)\) is linear on geodesics \(u_t\) and convex on subgeodesics. It is also proved that functions with strong singularities generally cannot be connected by (sub)geodesic.
