Let \(X\) be a Banach space. A bounded subset \(K\) of \(X\) is called a weak reciprocal Dunford-Pettis set (or wRDP set) if \(T(K)\) is relatively weakly compact for each completely continuous operator \(T: X \to c_0\). The Banach space \(X\) has the \(R^\ast\) property if every wRDP subset of \(X\) is relatively weakly compact. A bounded subset \(K\) of \(X\) is said to be a weak limited subset of \(X\) if \(T(K)\) is relatively compact for each completely continuous operator \(T: X \to c_0\). A subset \(S\) of \(X\) is said to be weakly precompact provided that every sequence from \(S\) has a weakly Cauchy subsequence. The author of present paper studies weak reciprocal Dunford-Pettis sets. She proves that \(X\) has the \(R^\ast\) property if and only if every weak reciprocal Dunford-Pettis operator \(T: Y \to X\) is weakly compact, for every Banach space \(Y\). She also shows that a subset of \(X\) is weak limited if and only if it is weakly precompact.
