The motivic Steenrod algebra in positive characteristic (Q1687388)

In the article under review, the authors compute the mod \(l\) motivic dual Steenrod algebra, for base schemes that are essentially smooth over a field of characteristic \(\neq l\). This generalizes to positive characteristic (and certain non-field bases) a result of Voevodsky. This is achieved by replacing topological realisation by étale realisation, and resolution of singularities by Gabber's alterations.
