The authors study nonlocal problems \[ \displaystyle -m(||u||^2)\Delta u =f(u) \text{ in } \Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^N, \;\;\;u = 0 \text{ on } \partial \Omega, \] where \(N\geq 1\), \(\Omega\) is a bounded smooth domain, \(m\) and \(f\) are continuous functions. Assuming that \(m\) is positive between two consecutive zeros \(t_{k-1}\) and \(t_k\) and a certain \textit{area condition} is satisfied by \(m\) and \(f\), then there exists a positive solution with norm satisfying \(t_{k-1} < ||u||^2< t_k\). A sequence of isolated zeros of \(m\) guarantees the existence of multiple solutions. The proof is based on the mountain pass theorem.
