The author considers rotationally symmetric motions of incompressible, transversely isotropic, nonlinearly elastic and viscoelastic annuli submitted to centrifugal force and hydrostatic pressure. He introduces the associated kinematics through the expressions of the deformation and Green deformation tensors. He presents the stress and constitutive equations and he establishes symmetry properties of the Piola-Kirchhoff tensor, especially focusing on Mooney-Rivlin materials. He derives the equations of motion and he discusses boundary conditions which apply in this case of annuli. He writes the energy equation and he finally proves the existence of initial conditions which lead to a blowup result for a Mooney-Rivlin material, the radius of the annuli blowing up to infinity exponentially fast. For these computations and estimates, the author uses the incompressibility which allows some computational simplifications.
