The celebrated Quillen-Suslin theorem asserts that any algebraic vector bundle on the affine space \(\mathbb{A}_K^n\) (where \(K\) is a field) is trivial. A related result is the affine Horrocks' theorem, which states that any algebraic vector bundle on \(\mathbb{A}_R^1\) (where \(R\) is a commutative ring) that extends to \(\mathbb{P}_R^1\) is in fact extended from \(\mathrm{Spec}(R)\). In the setting of local complete intersection ideals (which are connected to certain questions about algebraic vector bundles), the authors of the paper under review prove a form of ``monic inversion principal'' and an analogue of the affine Horrocks' theorem. Precise details can be found in the article. The paper is rather technical but should definitely be of use to experts in its topic.
