The main result of the paper under review is the following. Theorem. The maximum separation distance of \(13\) points in the equilateral triangle of side length \(1\) is \[ 9 - 5\sqrt{3}-\frac{7\sqrt{6}}{2}+6\sqrt2=0.251813236653060481 .... \] Moreover the arrangement is unique up to congruence. This theorem gives the answer for a special case of so called the maximum separation problem.
