The theory of regularity structures provides existence, stability and approximations of solutions to a wide class of singular semilinear stochastic partial differential equations via a process of regularisation and renormalisation. Yet for each particular equation, there is still quite a work to be done to apply the theory and get the results it yields. In particular, one must i) construct a certain (rich enough) Lie group, ii) prove the convergence of the renormalised models and iii) show coincidence of the solution maps for the modified equation. Whereas the problems i) and ii) have been recently automated (one can just check rather easy conditions for a particular equation instead of solving non-trivial problems), the paper under review deals with a simplification of the remaining problem iii). The authors provide sufficient conditions for a large class of subcritical equations that guarantee that when such equations are suitably renormalised, then the resulting process is again a solution to a modified equation (containing counter-terms that depend on the solution itself in a local way).
