The article deals with the extension of the crossover design methods, known from the literature, to non-regular setups. Hence, the extensions are constructed for cases such that neither the number of periods, nor the number of subjects is divisible by the number of treatments. By optimal design, a construction method is provided for corresponding E-efficient crossover designs, where an approximate lower bound to E-efficiency of the constructed extended designs is obtained. Moreover, examples are given.
