Let us recall that an operator between Banach space \(T:X\rightarrow Y\) is called almost summing if for some constant \(C>0\) and every sequence \((x_i)_{i=1}^n\subset X\) we have \[ \frac{1}{2^n}\sum_{(\epsilon_i)_{i=1}^n\in \{-1,1\}^n}\Big\|\sum_{i=1}^n \epsilon_i Tx_i\Big\|\leq C \sup_{x^*\in B_{X^*}} \Big(\sum_{i=1}^n x^*(x_i)^2\Big)^{\frac12}. \] It is well known that every \(p\)-summing operator (for any \(1\leq p<\infty\)) is almost summing. The paper under review starts with an example of an almost-summing operator which is not \(p\)-summing for any \(1\leq p<\infty\) and provides versions of earlier results of Q. Bu, P. Kranz and S. Kwapień about \(p\)-summing operators in the context of almost summing operators. We refer to the paper for details.
