In Riemannian geometry, a Liouville transformation is a conformal change which preserves the Ricci tensor. In Finsler geometry, the authors modify the Ricci curvature \(\mathrm{Ric}\) of a Finsler manifold \((M,F)\) by the Landsberg curvature as \(\mathrm{Ric}_L=\mathrm{Ric}+\frac{2}{n-2}\mathcal{J}\), where \(\mathcal{J}\) is the divergence of the mean Landsberg form, and they call a conformal change preserving \(\mathrm{Ric}_L\) a general Liouville transformation. They introduce the \(C\)-convexity and prove the following rigidity result: ``Let \(\overline{F}=e^uF\) be a general Liouville transformation on a compact connected Finsler manifold \((M,F)\) of dimension \(n\ge3\). If \(F\) is \(C\)-convex, then \(u=\)constant''. A consequence of this result is the following corollary: ``A compact \(C\)-convex globally conformally flat weakly Landsberg manifold is locally Minkowskian if \(\mathrm{Ric}=0\)''. For \(n=2\), the authors prove the following rigidity result for Landsberg surfaces: ``Any two conformally related non-Riemannian Landsberg surfaces are homothetic''.
