One of the most important rings is a prime ring. Let \(R\) be a prime ring with extended centroid \(C\) and maximal right ring of quotients \(Q\) and suppose that \(L\) is noncentral Lie ideal of \(R\) and \(f:L \rightarrow Q\) is an additive map satisfying \([f(x),x]_n=0\), where, \([f(x),x]_1=[f(x),x]=f(x)x-xf(x)\) and inductively \([f(x),x]_{k-1}=[[f(x),x]_{k-1},x], \text{ for all } k \in \mathbb{Z}, k\geq 2\). In this paper, the authors prove that there exist \(\lambda \in C\) and an additive map \(\mu: L \rightarrow C\) such that \(f(x)=\lambda x +\mu(x)\) for all \(x \in L\) except in the case of \(\mathrm{char} R=2\) and \(R \subseteq M_2(F)\), where, \(M_2(F)\) is the ring of all \(2 \times 2-\)matrices over a field \(F\). This gives a natural generalization on the classical theorem for derivations by Lanski and the current theorem for \(X\)-generalized skew derivations by \textit{V. de Filippis} and \textit{F. Wei} [Commun. Algebra 46, No. 12, 5433--5446 (2018; Zbl 1412.16039)] which is precisely an affirmative solution for a long-standing open problem on functional identities asked by \textit{K. I. Beidar} in [Commun. Algebra 26, No. 6, 1819--1850 (1998; Zbl 0901.16011)] .
