Enriched Banach Contractions was introduced by \textit{V. Berinde} and \textit{M. Păcurar} [J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. 22, No. 2, Paper No. 38, 10 p. (2020; Zbl 1460.47039)]. Further, \textit{O. Popescu} [Acta Math. Hung. 164, No. 2, 570--579 (2021; Zbl 1483.47086)] established some fixed point results with a new class of contraction mappings and provides [\textit{R. K. Bisht}, Acta Math. Hung. 166, No. 1, 97--102 (2022; Zbl 1491.54060), Remark 2.2] an innovative method to tackle those cases in which either the existence of fixed points are not ensured or there is no known method available. \textit{J. Górnicki} and \textit{R. K. Bisht} [J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. 23, No. 3, Paper No. 48, 12 p. (2021; Zbl 07402314)] gave some generalized results for enriched contractions using averaged mappings. \textit{G. Jungck} [Am. Math. Mon. 83, 261--263 (1976; Zbl 0321.54025); Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 9, 771--779 (1986; Zbl 0613.54029)] proved fixed point theorems using commuting and non commuting mappings satisfying contractive type conditions in metric spaces. Thereafter, many researchers explored further in the said area by establishing various fixed point theorems satisfying different contractive conditions in distinct spaces. The author established some fixed point theorems in a Banach space under weak commutative maps satisfying an enriched type contraction condition for two single-valued mappings. In Theorem 3.1., the author considered two cases. In case 1, conditions a), b), c) of Theorem 3.1. are employed along with the enriched contraction condition to prove the existence and uniqueness of a common fixed point. Also, one can see in between the lines of a proof that authors had shown that Krasnoselskij iteration is exactly the Picard iteration associated with \(f_\lambda\). In case 2, by setting \(b=0\) and taking \(f\) instead of \(f_\lambda\), it is shown that the proof is similar to that of case 1 and the Krasnoselskij iteration reduces to Picard iteration associated with \(f\). Thereafter, the author extracted Banach Contraction Principle, extended Jungck fixed point Theorem and one of the results established by Berinde and Pacurar after appropriate substitutions in Theorem 3.1. In Theorem 3.6., weak commutative condition had been replaced with the compatible condition while the rest of the conditions remain intact to establish a unique common fixed point. It is observed that Theorem 3.6. is a generalized form of Theorem 3.1. Examples provided to support the main results are accurate. The author ends up the paper with an open question for the future work that Common fixed point can be established by replacing the weak commutativity with more weaker forms of commutativity.
