Like many other papers the motivation of the paper is the following Yang's conjecture: Let \(f\) be a transcendental entire function and \(k\) be a positive integer. If \(ff^{(k)}\) is a periodic function, then \(f\) is also a periodic function. \par The authors study Yang's conjecture for the case of certain differential-difference polynomials of entire functions having hyper-order less than \(1\). A number of examples are provided to substantiate necessity of the hypotheses of the theorems proved in the paper.
