The author studies Newton maps \(f(z)=z-\frac{g(z)}{g'(z)}\) for functions of the form \[ g(z)=\int_{0}^{z}p(t)e^{q(t)}dt + c, \] where \(p\) and \(q\) are complex polynomials. With some conditions on the zeros of \(g''\) it is shown that the Julia set of \(f\) has zero Lebesgue measure. As a consequence, \(f^{n}(z)\) converges to zeros of \(g\) for almost all points \(z\), improving a result of \textit{W. Bergweiler} [Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 13, No. 2, 231--247 (1993; Zbl 0781.58011)]. Some general conditions implying zero Lebesgue measure Julia sets are also provided and used to prove the main result.
