In order to construct a pertinent model for a general loading process, the author employs an extended flow rule, constitutive equations for metals, and comparisons with numerical calculations and experimental data. Besides, the theory proposed includes the dependence of magnitude and direction of plastic stretching on stress rate, the reversible/irreversible response with linear/nonlinear constitutive equations, the continuity and smoothness condition, additive decomposition of stretching, plastic loading and unloading, elastic and plastic stress work and work rates, stiffness modulus, plastic relaxation stiffness and elastic stiffness, work rates stiffness and loading criteria. Accordingly, the proposed flow rule includes a single yield surface without corners for cyclic loading and incorporates a subloading surface model which fulfils the smoothness condition.
