Let \(A\) be a positive invertible operator on a Hilbert space \(H\) such that \(mI\le A\le MI\) where \(I\) is the identity operator on \(H\) and \(m,M\) are positive real numbers. The celebrated Kantorovich inequality asserts that \[ \langle Ax,x\rangle \langle A^{-1}x,x\rangle \le \frac{(m+M)^2}{4mM} \] for all unit vectors \(x\in H\). This inequality has been studied by many authors and extended in different directions. One such extension is \[ \phi (A^{-1})\le \frac{(m+M)^2}{4mM}\phi(A)^{-1} , \] where \(\phi\) is a unital positive linear map from operators on a Hilbert space \(H\) to operators on a Hilbert space \(K\). The authors in this paper extend this inequality for two or more operators. The concept of Specht's ratio has been used to improve some known inequalities. Most of their results are, however, for commuting operators. The quality of presentation is not very enticing.
