The authors propose a new method to construct rigid \(G\)-automorphic representations and \(\widehat G\)-local systems -- homomorphisms \(\pi_1(\mathbb G_{m,\overline k},u)\to\widehat G(\overline{\mathbb Q}_\ell)\). The construction of the rigid \(G\)-automorphic representations gives rise to \(\widehat G\)-local systems via Hecke eigensheaf techniques in geometric Langlands. To do so, the authors introduce \textit{euphotic representations}, generalizing the notion of epipelagic representations, which is itself a generalization of simple supercuspidal representations. Euphotic automorphic data gives rise to an abelian category of \(\mathcal P\) of perverse sheaves on a certain moduli stack of \(G\)-bundles on \(\mathbb P_{\overline k}^1\). The authors prove that \(\mathcal P\) has finitely many simple objects up to isomorphism, indicating rigidity.
