The authors construct two weak factorisation systems which are not cofibrantly generated. The first consists of full functors and topological functors in the category of small categories. The second consists of embeddings and topological isomorphisms in the category of posets. The systems are used to construct Quillen model categories which are not cofibrantly generated.
