The author considers coupled heat and mass trsnsfer in mixed convection about a wedge embedded in a saturated porous medium for variable heat flux (VHF) and for variable mass flux (VMF), respectively. The entire regime of mixed convection is considered, as the mixed convection parameters \(\chi^*\) varies from 0 (pure free convection) to 1 (pure forced convection). The transformed nonlinear system of partial differential equations is solved numerically using an implicit finite difference approximation along with the modified Keller box method. The author determines dimensional temperature profiles, non-dimensional concentration profiles, local Nusselt number, and local Sherwood number for different values of buoyancy parameter \(N^*\), mixed convection parameter \(\chi^*\), wall heat/mass flux exponent \(s\), and wedge angle parameter \(\lambda\). It is found that both the local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers increase with \(N\) and \(s\), while they increase with the decrease in \(\lambda\). Further, it is shown that the local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers have a minimum when \(\chi^*\) increases.
