The author shows that, in the case of minisuperspace construction, the Eisenhart geometry is, in fact, the proposition which solves the desingularization problem of the Jacobi metric. He also formulates a theorem which provides an explanation of trajectories in the language of geodesic motion of particles in fictitious spacetime, and vice versa. He demonstrates how one can reduce the problem of geodesic motion to the classical mechanics problem with the lapse function. Moreover, different examples of application of the author's ideas are presented. -- See also the paper by the author, \textit{J. Guzik} and \textit{A. J. Maciejewski} [Int. J. Theor.
