This paper offers a unified technique to study the modern problem of operators acting on weighted Bergman spaces in the case \(0<p \leq 1\). The main theorem in the paper shows that the boundedness of an operator into a rather general Banach space depends only upon the behaviour of a single vector-valued analytic function; this one is obtained by the action of the operator on the reproducing kernel. This theorem allows one to obtain (in a new manner) several known results and also to produce many applications (when considering particular operators on weighted Bergman spaces, \(0<p \leq 1\)). The author studies the dual spaces of certain weighted Bergman spaces, Carleson measures, multipliers (convolution, pointwise, sequence multipliers), Hankel operators, and composition operators. Weight functions are of the type introduced by \textit{S. Janson} in Duke Math. J. 47, 959-982 (1980; Zbl 0453.46027).
