The authors study a numerical way to approximate the reachable set of a linear control system. Their approach is based on a Lyapunov function of quadratic type whose level sets are ellipsoids. Using these tools, the authors develop ellipsoidal approximation of the reachable sets. Algorithms and examples of numerical treatment are also provided.
