It is well known that the coarse moduli space \({M_{E}}\) of complex Enriques surfaces is isomorphic to a Zariski open subset of an arithmetic quotient of a bounded domain of type IV. It is rational and of dimension 10. In the paper under review, the author considers the coarse moduli space \({M_{E}^{2q}}\) of polarized complex Enriques surfaces of degree \(2q\), where a polarization of degree \(2q\) is a big and nef linear system \(| D| \) free from base points with \(D^{2}=2q\). The existence of the moduli space \({M_{E}^{6}}\) is classical, furthermore it is known that \({M_{E}^{6}}\) is rational. The main result of this paper is the existence of \({M_{E}^{4}}\), and that it is rational. Using some previous results of himself and Ekedahl about Gorenstein covers of degree 4, the author, first, proves that \({M_{E}^{4}}\) is birationally isomorphic to a quotient of a space of matrices by an algebraic group, then, via methods of invariant theory, he obtains the rationality of \({M_{E}^{4}}\), proving that the constructed quotient is rational.
