The authors calculate the resultants of special linear combinations of Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind, extending and simplifying earlier work by \textit{K. Dilcher} and \textit{K. B. Stolarsky} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 357, No. 3, 965--981 (2005; Zbl 1067.12001)]. They also prove analogous results for Chebyshev polynomials of the first kind.
