We obtain lower estimates for the Bernshtein diameters \(b_ n({\mathfrak N},X)\), which by the inequality \(b_ n({\mathfrak N},X)\leq d_ n\) [see \textit{V. M. Tihomirov}, Some questions in approximation theory (Russian), Izd. Mosk. Univ. (1976), p. 220] are also lower estimates for the Kolmogorov diameters \(d_ n({\mathfrak N},X)\). As X we consider either the space \(C_{2\pi}\) of continuous \(2\pi\)-periodic functions or the space L of \(2\pi\)-periodic summable functions with the usual norm \(\| f\|_ L=\int^{\pi}_{-\pi}| f(\tau)| d\tau\). The role of the sets \({\mathfrak N}\) is played by classes of convolutions, i.e., sets of functions f representable in the form \[ f(\cdot)=\pi^{-1}\int^{\pi}_{- \pi}K(\cdot -\tau)\phi (\tau)d\tau +C=^{def}(K*\phi)(\cdot)+C,\quad C\in {\mathbb{R}}, \] where K(\(\cdot)\) is a certain fixed \(2\pi\)-periodic summable function and \({\mathbb{R}}\) is the set of real numbers.
