    Let \(n=v \oplus z\) be an \(H\)-type group, and let \(n\oplus a\) be the harmonic semidirect product of \(n\) with \(a\simeq R\). Let \(NA\) be the corresponding simply connected Lie group. Suppose \(\dim v=m\) and \(\dim z=k\). Let \(Q= {m\over 2} +k\). For \(0<p\leq 2\), the \(p\)-Schwartz space \({\mathcal S}^p (NA)^\#\) is the space of \(C^\infty\)-radial functions \(f\) on \(NA\) such that \[ \nu_\rho (f;D,h)= {\underset x\in {NA} {\text{Sup}}}e^{(Q \mid p)\rho(x)} \bigl(1+ \rho (x) \bigr)^h \bigl|Df(x) \bigr|<\infty \] for all positive integers \(h\) and for all left invariant differential operators \(D\) on \(NA\). The topology on \({\mathcal S}^p (NA)^\#\) is induced by the seminorms \(\nu_\rho (f;D,h)\). The author proves that the spherical Fourier transform is a topological isomorphism between the \(p\)-Schwartz space \({\mathcal S}^p (NA)^\#\) and the space of holomorphic rapidly decreasing functions on the strip \(\{s\in\mathbb{C}: |\text{Re} (s)|< \varepsilon Q/2\}\), where \(\varepsilon ={2 \over p}-1\).
