The authors consider as model of adsorption kinetics the system: \[ \partial a/\partial t=1/r^ 2(\partial /\partial r)(r^ 2D_ a(\partial a/\partial r),\quad 0<r<R,\quad t>0;\quad a(r,0)=0,\quad 0<r<R, \] \[ r^ 2(\partial a/\partial r)|_{r=0}=0,\quad t>0;\quad (S_ a/V_ p)D_ a(\partial a/\partial r)|_{r=R}=-dc^*(t)/dt, \] \[ t>0;\quad a(R,t)=f(c^*(t)),\quad c^*(0)=c_ 0, \] where \(D_ a\), \(R_ a\), \(V_ p\), \(c_ 0\) are positive constants and \(a=f(c)\) is the isothermal adsorption, f is supposed to belong to the class \(F_ m\) of C[0,1] functions, increasing, with a Lipschitz property with m-th order bounded derivatives on a certain interval \([C_{\infty},1]\). The main results of this paper are: 1) If \(f\in F_ m\) then \(c^*(t)\in C^ m]0,\infty [,\) 2) If \(f\in F_ m\) and \(k+2\ell \leq 2m-1\), then \(a(r,t)\in C^{k,\ell}(Q^+_ T)\), \(ra(r,t)\in C^{k,\ell}(\bar Q^+_ T)\), \(Q^+_ T=]0,1]\times]0,T]\), \(\bar Q^+_ T=[0,1]\times [0,T[\).
